What an incredible ride #PitchYaGame has been. We’ve loved every minute and to close out the season we have the finale; The #PitchYaGame Awards coming up…
Over 650+ independent games were pitched in November and we are excited to reveal the indie games we have chosen (plus a few surprises). Updates will be posted alongside the awards live on twitter via our founder @LiamTwose and @PitchYaGame

FYI: In case you didn’t catch the announcement live on Twitter.
In 2021 we are changing the format for #PitchYaGame entirely, for a number of reasons.
The event will no longer run monthly and will now run as Awards twice a year. In June and November. There will be a qualifiers round followed by Awards sometime after.
Some of the reasons we wanted to make this switch
We want to give developers a longer lead-time between pitches, and thus reduce any potential crunch that may have occurred as a result, and 5-6 months will really help. It will also help improve the overall quality of the pitches as well and the difference between pitches between awards over time should be a lot more noticeable.
The internet in the current climate is slowly being plagued with events, new hashtags and more as everything slowly shifts to fully online and we don’t want to contribute to that noise, we want to keep it fresh and in its own place.
We at TeamPYG also get to regain full control over the event, which running it monthly was a lot of hard work. Now we are in a better position to look at other avenues to explore / ways to educate alongside the event.
We are excited for the future of The #PitchYaGame Awards and hope you will continue on this incredible journey with us as we continue our mission to recognise independent video games from all corners, the world needs to know about.
A huge thank you from all of us @TeamPYG for all the support you have shown us this last year; a real beacon of light in what has been an uncertain time for everyone.
